Foster Information
What is fostering?
Fostering is a means of providing a temporary home to an animal in need. It saves two pets' lives. How? It opens up a space in a shelter for one animal and it provides a home for the foster animal.
What does 2nd Chance ask of you as a foster?
We ask you to provide a safe and caring home with:
-
A healthy and safe environment
-
Attendance at adoption events
-
Socialization and compassion
In other words, treat the foster animal as if he/she was your own pet.
What does 2nd Chance provide?
Everything! While many of our foster families provide food, toys, and/or treats for their foster animal(s), 2nd Chance does not expect you to provide any of these items. We will help you with your foster needs. Also, 2nd Chance will cover ALL veterinary expenses.
